TempoDB Becomes TempoIQ, Furthers Focus on IoT

Chicago-based sensor data analytics company TempoDB announced today that the organization was changing its name to TempoIQ Inc. The company is making the change to better reflect its focus on sensor data and the realtime analytics needed to power the world's IoT products and applications. As noted by 451 Research Analyst Jason Stamper, the change reflects how TempoIQ "has refined its focus on machine-generated time-series data, but expanded its purview to address analytics as well as data storage." The company notes the growth of customers like Water Management company Aquahawk and Solar Energy Management company Brightergy, as well as their partnership with Fermilab on the search for dark matter, as proof of the traction that their refined focus on sensor data has enabled.

TempoDB Adds Lew Moorman of Rackspace As Director
